Annual Advent Project

The Advent Season is a time to begin preparing for the coming of our Lord whose birth we celebrate at Christmas.  Families, both individual and parish, participate in traditional activities during this Church season.  It is also a time to remember our sisters and brothers throughout the world who are in need of physical and spiritual comfort.

In this light, we would like to share the great need present in our mission houses in Brazil, Poland, and Italy and especially in our Africa Congo Mission.

Our mission has always been driven by a commitment to improving the lives of those in need, both spiritually and materially. Over the years, we have witnessed the transformative power of faith and education, and it is with this belief that we have embarked on a significant endeavor in Congo.

We are seeking your support for three vital aspects of our mission:

1. Religious Sisters' Supplies and Education: Our sisters are at the forefront of our mission, providing spiritual guidance and support to the local communities. Your contribution will ensure that they have the necessary supplies, resources, and educational opportunities to continue their essential work.

2. Construction of a School and Convent: Education is a cornerstone of progress, and we are committed to providing a solid educational foundation to the children of Congo. By helping us build a school and convent, you will be directly contributing to the future of countless young minds and the sustainability of our mission.

3. Support for Our Clinic: We run a small clinic in Nassian, Ivory Coast providing essential medical care to those with limited healthcare access. Your donation will help us maintain and expand these critical healthcare services, providing hope and healing to the sick and suffering.

During this Advent Season, we ask for your support of our Sisters’ efforts to educate the children in our mission houses throughout the globe.  It is through education that a better way of life can be realized.  The success of our missions is a combination of prayers, monetary donations, and commitment.  It would be deeply appreciated if you could support the missions through your gift of prayer during this Christmas Season and/or a monetary contribution.

Jesus asked us to go out into the world and teach others about God’s love.  By supporting and aiding the Handmaids of Reparation’s missionary work, you will truly answer Jesus' call “to spread the Good News to the ends of the world…”

We are very thankful for your prayers and gifts in any amount.

May the Lord bless and reward you for your generosity and kindness. We wish you a very blessed Advent Season.

Gratefully and in Christ’s love,

Sister Donatella Merulla and Sister Mary Attilia Todaro
